Stonebridge Gunworks provides a direct optic cut and slide milling service for the CZ Shadow 2, built for practical shooting, USPSA Carry Optics, Limited Optics, and high round count competition use. This service is designed around optic fitment, recoil lug support, screw engagement, and long-term reliability.
Our CZ Shadow 2 optic cuts include full-length recoil lugs where applicable to secure the optic as designed and provide a strong mechanical interface for competition red dots. A direct mill removes the extra height and added failure points of an adapter plate system, giving the shooter a lower, cleaner, and more durable red dot setup.

The SRO step cut is compatible with the Holosun 507 Comp, but the deck in front of the optic is cut down to accommodate the SRO overhang. For the cleanest look with the Holosun 507 Comp, Holosun 407 Comp, or RMR-style optics, choose the no-step-cut option if you do not need future SRO compatibility.

This service includes the optic cut only. The slide and optic are not included unless specifically added through the product options.
Step Cut vs No-Step Cut
The correct cut depends on your optic choice and future compatibility goals. The SRO-compatible step cut allows clearance for the SRO overhang and is also compatible with the Holosun 507 Comp. The no-step-cut option provides the cleanest look for Holosun C-Series, Holosun Comp, 407 Comp, 507 Comp, and RMR-style optics, but it is not compatible with the SRO.
If you cut for the Holosun 507 Comp or 407 Comp without the step cut and later want SRO compatibility, we can cut the deck down as a separate service. You can add a step cut later, but you cannot remove it once it has been machined.
Screws & Installation Notes
McMaster-Carr 6-32 1/2-inch long screws are provided for Trijicon optics. Holosun XControls metric taper 6-32 .430-inch long screws are provided for Holosun optics when applicable.
For Vortex Defender and Defender XL optics, use the Glock MOS M4 screws supplied with the Vortex optic. If we are mounting the optic, please include the screws supplied with the optic.
You may provide your own optic, and we are happy to install it using Permatex Orange and proper torque. Your optic is not required for machining because we cut the slide to the optic footprint and lug geometry.
Front Sight Blank Notes
If your CZ Shadow 2 has a pinned barrel bushing, we can replace the front sight with a new front sight blank if that option is selected.
If your pistol is an Orange model with an AccuBushing, we can remove the front sight and return it with your rear sight if requested in the checkout comments. The front sight blank option is not available for these models without a pinned bushing.
Shipping Your Slide
You are responsible for shipping the slide to us after placing the order. Please include your order number in the package, securely pack the slide, and ship it without the barrel and recoil assembly.
You may send small parts with the slide, minus the barrel and recoil assembly. We will remove and return your iron sights with the slide.
