Henning CZ 75 / Shadow 2 Magazine Extension
A CNC-machined base pad for Mec-Gar CZ-75B 9mm magazines that takes a 17-round magazine to 21 or 24 rounds depending on the spring or follower you pair it with. Eleven anodized colors, and a magwell and non-magwell version so it seats correctly whichever way your gun is set up.
Made by Henning Group. The current design adds numbering dots, a side cutout for a lighter side grab, and a reinforced wall — and it is shaped so it cannot over-insert.

Pick the magwell option first. It is the fitment choice — the magwell version uses a front pin, the non-magwell version a rear pin. Colour and spring follow from there, and the page will only offer combinations we can actually ship.
Three Ways to Set Up the Magazine
Spring upgrade17 → 21+1 with the Henning spring
Keeps your factory follower and adds Henning’s spring. This is the only setup here that still gives you positive slide-lock on an empty magazine, and it feeds properly with the extra length. Add it for $4.95.
Most capacity17 → 24+1 with MBX Extreme
The MBX Extreme follower and spring kit is the biggest jump on offer. Worth knowing before you pick it: aftermarket follower kits do not lock the slide back on an empty magazine. Add it for $18.95.

The base pad on its own. Choose this if you already have a spring and follower you like, or you are buying pads for magazines that are set up the way you want them.
Slide lockThe trade-off in one line
More rounds or a slide that locks back — you get one or the other. The Henning spring keeps the lock at 21+1; the MBX kit gives you 24+1 without it. Neither is wrong, it depends on how you shoot.

This kit fits the USPSA 141.25 mm magazine gauge, so a magazine built with it passes the length gauge at check-in. Measure your own build if you are close to the limit — follower choice and how far the pad seats both move the number.

Magwell Notes
The magwell version (front pin) fits every Shadow 2 magwell Henning has tried, and fits the SAR K12 Sport with its factory magwell using 17-round Mec-Gar CZ-75 magazines.
The non-magwell version (rear pin) is the one to choose if you run the gun bare — and it is also the correct choice with a Floyd’s magwell for the Shadow 2.
The non-magwell version is the one most Carry Optics guns want — that division is typically shot without a magwell, so the rear-pin base pad is the right fit straight out of the box.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which version do I need, magwell or non-magwell?
If you run a magwell on the gun, choose the magwell version — it uses a front pin and Henning reports it fitting every Shadow 2 magwell they have tried. If the gun is bare, choose the non-magwell version with the rear pin — that is also the usual answer for a Carry Optics gun, which is normally run without a magwell. The one exception worth knowing: with a Floyd’s magwell for the Shadow 2, the non-magwell version is the correct choice.
How many rounds will I actually get?
From a 17-round Mec-Gar CZ-75B magazine: 21+1 with Henning’s spring and your factory follower, or 24+1 with the MBX Extreme follower and spring kit. The base pad on its own does not change capacity — it is the spring and follower that do the work.
Will the slide still lock back on an empty magazine?
Only with the Henning spring, which keeps the factory follower and holds positive slide-lock. Aftermarket follower kits, including MBX Extreme, do not lock the slide back on empty. That is the trade you are making for the extra rounds.
Does it fit the 141.25 mm gauge?
Yes, this kit fits the USPSA 141.25 mm magazine gauge. If your build is near the limit it is still worth measuring your own magazine, since follower choice and how far the pad seats both affect the finished length.
Does it work on anything other than a Shadow 2?
Yes. With Mec-Gar CZ-75B magazines it also runs on the CZ Shadow 1, CZ-75 SP-01, Dan Wesson DWX Compact, Tanfoglio small frame, Magnum Research Baby Eagle and Jericho 941. The SAR K12 Sport works too, but with Mec-Gar CZ-75 magazines only — the factory SAR magazines are too short to take the extension and still seat with a magwell.
