The battery cap on a Trijicon SRO is easy to cross-thread and easy to chew up — and it always seems to happen at the range, right after a make-ready sight picture goes sideways. This tool grips the cap properly so it backs out clean and seats straight, in bright green so it does not vanish into the bag.

How To Use It
Nothing to it — the whole point is doing the job without a multi-tool, a coin, or a screwdriver blade near your optic.
- Seat the tool square on the SRO battery cap.
- Turn counter-clockwise to back the cap out.
- Swap the CR2032, positive side up.
- Start the cap by hand so you know the threads caught.
- Snug it with the tool. Snug, not gorilla-tight.
Fitment
This is for the Trijicon SRO only.
It will not fit an RMR, RCR, or a Holosun — those optics use different battery covers, and several load from the bottom instead of the top.
Cut for the Trijicon SRO battery cap. If you run an SRO, these are cut for the same optic.
Keep It Where It Helps
Keep it in the range bag with a spare CR2032 taped to it. That is the whole trick — the tool is only useful if it is with you when the dot dies.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my RMR, RCR, or Holosun?
No. This tool is shaped for the Trijicon SRO battery cap. Other optics use different covers, and some load the battery from the bottom.
What battery does the SRO take?
A CR2032. The tool does not include one — keep a spare in the bag with it.
Is the green one different from the black or orange?
Only the material and color. Fit and function are identical. Green and orange are bright PETG so they are easy to find; black is PETG CF. All proceeds from the orange version are donated to the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research.
Do I really need a tool for this?
You need something. Coins, knife blades, and multi-tools are what cross-thread caps and chew up covers. This is shaped for the job and costs less than a battery cap.
