This policy explains what personal information Stonebridge Gunworks LLC ("Stonebridge," "we," "us") collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how long we keep it. It applies to this website, our online store, our gunsmithing and transfer services, and our communications with you.

Stonebridge Gunworks LLC is a federally licensed firearms dealer located in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Some of the information we collect is required by federal law, and some of it we are required to keep and to share with government agencies. Where that is the case, we say so below.

Information we collect

When you place an order or book a service

Your name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, and order details. For gunsmithing and milling work, we also record the make, model, and serial number of the firearm or part you send us.

Card payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not store your full card number.

When you buy a firearm or complete a transfer

Federal law requires us to collect and record identifying information for firearm transfers, including the information on ATF Form 4473 and in our acquisition and disposition records. This includes your name, address, date of birth, place of birth, and a government-issued photo ID.

When we prepare NFA paperwork for you

For suppressor and other National Firearms Act (NFA) filings, ATF requires information about each applicant and each responsible person of a trust. This can include date of birth, place of birth, ethnicity and race, other names used, a photograph, fingerprints, trust documents, and tax stamp or registration records. We collect only what the ATF forms require, and we ask for it only after you have decided to go ahead with the filing.

A Social Security number is optional on ATF forms. We do not ask for it. If you choose to include it, you write it on the form yourself when you sign.

When you contact us

Messages you send through our support desk, email, chat, phone, or the questions on our NFA Transfer Services page, along with your name and contact details.

When you use this website

Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technology to keep your cart and account working and to understand how the site is used. We may use analytics tools such as Google Analytics, which collect information such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the store may not work correctly without them.

How we use your information

  • To process orders, perform services, ship items, and arrange local pickup.
  • To prepare and file ATF paperwork you ask us to prepare, and to keep the records federal law requires.
  • To answer your questions and keep you updated on your order, service, or application.
  • To detect and prevent payment fraud.
  • To improve our website and services.
  • To send our mailing list, if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

We share information only as needed to do the work you asked for, or as the law requires:

  • ATF and other government agencies. NFA applications are submitted to ATF. Federal law requires a copy of certain NFA forms to go to your chief local law enforcement officer. We also provide records to ATF and law enforcement when federal, state, or local law requires it, including during compliance inspections.
  • Service providers who work for us. These include our online store and payment processor (including fraud screening), shipping carriers and shipping software, the print-on-demand partner that prints and ships our apparel orders, and the email, support desk, form, and file-storage services we use to run the business. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
  • Other people only at your request. For example, if you ask us to introduce you to an attorney, we share only what you ask us to share.

Sensitive information

Please do not send your date of birth, Social Security number, fingerprints, or photographs of ID by regular email or through our support desk. When we need personal details for an ATF filing, we send you a secure form or upload link for them.

How long we keep it

Federal law requires us to keep firearm transfer records, including Forms 4473 and our acquisition and disposition records, for as long as federal law requires, which for most of these records is as long as we remain in business. We keep order and service records for as long as we need them for business, tax, and warranty purposes.

Personal details you give us only to prepare an NFA filing, such as questionnaire answers and uploaded copies, are deleted after your application is approved. We keep the signed forms that make up the application record.

How we protect it

We use reputable service providers, encrypted connections, and access controls on the accounts that hold customer information. Records required by law are kept secured at our licensed premises. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit who can see your information and how many copies of it exist.

Your choices

  • Email: use the unsubscribe link in any mailing-list email.
  • Cookies: manage them in your browser settings.
  • Access, correction, or deletion: email us and we will respond within a reasonable time. We cannot delete records that federal law requires us to keep.
