Katan 22 — The 3D-Printed Titanium Rimfire Can That Punches Above Its Weight
The Katan is far more than another .22 can. Machined—actually grown—from 3D-printed Grade 5 (ELI) titanium and weighing a barely-there 3.5 oz, it hangs off the muzzle without upsetting balance, then quiets everything from .22 LR plinking to 5.7×28 and .17 HMR. A patent-pending carbon-trap core keeps it running clean, and it is tough enough that our test cans have thousands of rounds of 5.56 through them and are still in perfect shape.
Where it lands on performance: this is one of the highest-performing .22 cans we carry. The only other suppressor we have run that comes close is the B&T Tiger 22 — and the Katan delivers that performance class while coming in lighter (3.5 oz vs 4 oz) and noticeably slimmer (1.0-inch vs 1.2-inch diameter).
Newer: the Keren 22
Stealth Additive Works’ follow-up to the Katan — shorter at 3.7 in, lighter at 2.5–2.8 oz, and measured 4–6 dB quieter at the muzzle on a Taurus TX-22. It runs the same 1/2×28 rimfire thread, so it fits every host the Katan fits. The Katan is still the slimmer can at 1.0 in OD if profile matters more to you than the last few decibels.

Why the Katan Stands Out
- Feather-light 3.5 oz. 3D-printed Grade 5 (ELI) titanium adds suppression without adding muzzle weight—your host still points and balances like it should.
- Patent-pending carbon-trap core. Engineered to fight carbon and lead build-up for easier maintenance and more consistent performance shot after shot.
- Genuinely multi-caliber. Right at home on .22 LR, and rated to reach into 5.7×28 and .17 HMR.
- Full-auto rated. 50 rounds per minute of 5.7×28 with no barrel restriction.
- Slim, tough, and finished right. A 1-inch OD profile in Cerakote black—built to swing well above its weight and its price.

Rated Calibers & Ratings
- .22 LR — its home caliber, and hearing-safe rimfire suppression.
- 5.7×28 — full-auto rated to 50 rounds per minute with no barrel restriction.
- .17 HMR & smallbore centerfire — performs well across the rimfire and smallbore range.
- 5.56 NATO — usable with a 16-inch minimum barrel, semi-auto only, no more than 15 rounds per minute, and a 500-round lifetime limit. Because the Katan is so light, managing your rate of fire is essential.
Heat management matters. If the suppressor ever starts to get red-hot, stop firing immediately and let it cool. The Katan's low weight is part of what makes it special—rate-of-fire discipline is what keeps it that way.

Care & Cleaning
- .22 LR runs dirty—plan on periodic cleaning. CCI Clean-22 helps minimize lead build-up, though uncoated bullets are perfectly fine too.
- Titanium is highly corrosion-resistant and compatible with all known suppressor cleaning solutions. Ask us about the effective DIY cleaning-solution recipe—instructions are in the document on this listing.
NFA item. The Katan is an ATF-regulated silencer. It requires an approved ATF transfer before pickup—though as of 2026 the tax stamp itself is $0. Our team walks you through the paperwork—book a consultation and we will handle the process with you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit my .22?
Almost certainly. The Katan uses the standard 1/2×28 rimfire thread, so it threads directly onto the M&P 22X, the Ruger 10/22, and virtually any 1/2×28 .22 host.
Can I run it on my 5.7 or 5.56?
Yes, within its ratings: full-auto rated on 5.7×28 (50 rounds/min, no barrel restriction) and usable on 5.56 with a 16-inch or longer barrel, semi-auto, no more than 15 rounds/min, and a 500-round lifetime limit.
How light is it, really?
3.5 oz—one of the lightest full-performance .22 cans on the market, thanks to its 3D-printed titanium construction.
Is it hard to clean?
No. Titanium shrugs off corrosion and works with every common suppressor cleaner, and the patent-pending carbon trap helps keep build-up down.
Do I need a tax stamp?
Good news—as of 2026 the NFA tax stamp on suppressors is $0. The Katan is still an NFA item, so it requires an approved ATF transfer (Form 4) before pickup, but there is no longer a $200 transfer tax.
