Trijicon SRO Battery Tool V2 — Bright Orange (FPWR Fundraiser)
Stonebridge Gunworks · SRO Accessory · Version 2
Version 2 — redesigned from scratch, at least 50% stronger. Same tool as the black version, in bright orange so you can actually find it in a range bag — and all proceeds from the orange version are donated to the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research.

Trijicon SRO battery cap

Version
V2 — 50%+ stronger
Why orange? Because bright orange does not get lost in a range bag, and because every orange one sold sends its proceeds to FPWR — the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research. The same V2 tool also comes in bright green, which is not a fundraiser.
New to this tool? Read the full instructions — how to seat it, the 9 in-lbs cap torque limit, inspecting the O-ring seal, and using the windage adjustment end. It is the same page the QR code on your label opens.
Why It Exists
CauseAll proceeds to FPWR
Every orange tool sold sends its proceeds to the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research.
Version 2At least 50% stronger
The first tool did its job, but it could give up right about where Trijicon's torque limit for the battery cap ends. V2 is a clean-sheet design that takes considerably more than that before it complains. Same shape in your hand, same fit on the cap — a lot more tool underneath.
VisibilityYou will find it
Bright orange PETG. It does not disappear into a black range bag or the grass behind the bay.
ThreadsNo more cross-threading
Square, positive engagement on the cap so you are not starting the threads crooked with cold fingers.
Range readyFor the make-ready surprise
Dead dot on the line is bad enough. Chewing up the cover with a multi-tool makes it worse.
Made hereOur design, start to finish
Designed and manufactured by Stonebridge Gunworks in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. V2 was drawn from a blank sheet, not reworked from the original tool.
How To Use It
Nothing to it — the whole point is doing the job without a multi-tool, a coin, or a screwdriver blade near your optic.
- Seat the tool square on the SRO battery cap.
- Turn counter-clockwise to back the cap out.
- Swap the CR2032, positive side up.
- Start the cap by hand so you know the threads caught.
- Snug it with the tool. Trijicon specs the SRO battery cap at 9 in-lbs — snug, not gorilla-tight.
Do not torque past Trijicon's limit.
Trijicon publishes 9 in-lbs for the SRO and RMR HD battery cap. V2 will take considerably more than that without failing — the cap, its seal, and the optic housing will not. Snug to spec and stop. A stronger tool is not a reason to crank on your optic.
Fitment
This is for the Trijicon SRO only.
It will not fit an RMR, RCR, or a Holosun — those optics use different battery covers, and several load from the bottom instead of the top.
Cut for the Trijicon SRO battery cap. If you run an SRO, these are cut for the same optic.
Keep It Where It Helps
Keep it in the range bag with a spare CR2032 taped to it. That is the whole trick — the tool is only useful if it is with you when the dot dies.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where does the money go?
All proceeds from the orange version of the SRO Battery Tool are donated to the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research (FPWR).
Is the orange one different from the green one?
Only the color. Both are the V2 design, both are bright PETG, and both fit and work the same. All proceeds from the orange version are donated to the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research; green is not a fundraiser.
Will this fit my RMR, RCR, or Holosun?
No. This tool is shaped for the Trijicon SRO battery cap. Other optics use different covers, and some load the battery from the bottom.
What battery does the SRO take?
A CR2032. The tool does not include one — keep a spare in the bag with it.
What is new about V2?
V2 is a clean-sheet design, not a tweak of the old one. The original could fail right about where Trijicon's published torque limit for the battery cap ends. V2 is at least 50% stronger and goes well past that point before it gives up. It looks and fits the same, so nothing changes about how you use it.
How tight should the battery cap be?
Trijicon publishes 9 in-lbs for the SRO battery cap. Start the cap by hand, snug it with the tool, and stop there. V2 will take far more torque than that — your optic will not.
