Trijicon SRO Gen 2 SBGW Target Focus Trainer
Stonebridge Gunworks · Target Focus Trainer
Train target focus. Not dot chasing. The SBGW Target Focus Trainer partially occludes your Trijicon SRO window, so you hold focus on the target while your brain overlays the dot — the same visual process you want in a match.

Slide-mounted SROs. Running a frame-mounted open gun with a blast shield? That build needs the Open Mount Edition instead — it has extra front clearance.
What It Does
FocusTarget focus, not dot focus
Occlusion keeps your eyes on the target while your brain overlays the dot onto it.
PresentationStops dot chasing
No more hunting the window on the draw. The dot shows up where you are already looking.
Dry + LiveWorks for both
Use it in structured dry fire and on the range during live fire practice.
ConsistencyRepeatable visual process
Builds the same visual sequence every rep, so it holds up under match pressure.
Sun shieldNo more tape, no double dots
Blacks out the window when you are shooting into bright light — and kills the double-dot the SRO can throw in low sun.
Match readyTrain on your match optic
No swapping optics or guns. Train with the exact setup you compete with.
How Occlusion Training Works
Occlusion training works by partially blocking the optic window. You keep hard focus on the target and let your brain place the dot on it, instead of shifting focus back into the optic to find the dot. That reinforces the exact visual process used in practical shooting and competition, and it pays off in presentation, target transitions, and shot calling.
- Mount the trainer so it partially occludes the optic window.
- Keep both eyes open and hold hard focus on the target.
- Present the gun and let the dot arrive in your vision — do not go looking for it.
- Call the shot from the color you see on the target — target focused, not dot focused.
- Run it for part of each session, then pull it and shoot clean to compare.
Fits This Optic
Cut for the Trijicon SRO window. Every SRO reticle size uses the same body, so one trainer covers them all.
This is the slide-mount version, and it does not fit other optics.
It will not fit a Trijicon RMR, RCR, Holosun, or any other red dot — the SRO window is a different size and shape. And if your SRO is on a frame mount with a blast shield, order the Open Mount Edition instead.
Recommended Setup
For best results, pair your Trijicon SRO with a direct-milled slide and use the trainer as a standing part of your dry fire and live fire routine.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my RMR, RCR, or Holosun?
No. This trainer is cut for the Trijicon SRO only. The RMR, RCR, and Holosun optics have different window sizes and shapes, and this will not fit them.
My SRO is on a frame mount with a blast shield. Is this the right one?
No. That build needs the Open Mount Edition, which has extra front clearance so you can install and remove it around the blast shield. This standard version is for slide-mounted SROs.
Is this only for dry fire?
No. The Target Focus Trainer can be used for both dry fire and live fire training.
What is occlusion training?
Occlusion training partially blocks the optic window so you stay focused on the target while your brain overlays the dot, which reduces dot chasing and improves presentation.
Does it help with sun glare and the SRO double dot?
Yes. It blacks out the window so bright light does not wash out your dot, and it eliminates the double-dot effect the SRO can produce in low-angle sun.
